The Judge Group has an immediate opening for a Paraeducator in Berywn, PA! Shift: 7:45-3:45 M-F - 30 minute unpaid lunch. Type: W2 Contract, Weekly Pay, Benefits! We are seeking consistent and reliable candidates who are passionate about working with students. As a Paraprofessional, you will work one-on-one with students, providing behavioral and academic support while assisting in the implementation of effective educational programs as assigned by their case manager. This role includes meeting the special needs of students with disabilities, such as feeding, toileting, positioning, and monitoring their health conditions. Essential Functions: * Provide instruction to individuals in various areas including cognitive skills, gross and fine motor skills, feeding skills, self-help skills, and behavior control, as directed by the teacher.
* Ensure the health and safety of physically handicapped students by being aware of their environment and the potential hazards of each child's actions.
* Assist students with personal hygiene, including washing hands and faces, toileting, and changing diapers and clothing as needed.
* Monitor and control student behavior in accordance with established guidelines.
* Assist other specialists with physical development activities.
* Prepare students for mainstreamed classes according to established procedures.
* Attend periodic and special training and in-services related to medical interventions and instructional programs as required.
* Assist students with braces and other orthopedic equipment to lift, position, and reposition students as needed.
* Help maintain various records related to student progress as directed by the teacher.
* Implement positive behavior intervention support policies.
* Collaborate with caseworkers, general education teachers, and other staff as needed.
* Assist students in social interactions and work cooperatively with others, independently when necessary.
* Perform other duties similar in scope and function as required. Education, Experience, and Requirements: * High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Experience with children, students, or general caregiving of any age is required.
* Preferred experience in Autistic Support, Special Education, or Behavioral Health/Mental Health.
* First Aid Certificate, including CPR, must be obtained before the start date. Credentialing Requirements (All within 12 months): * PA Child Abuse Clearance
* PA Criminal Clearance
* PA FBI Fingerprint
