Pathologist

JOB SUMMARY:

The Pathologist is responsible for providing pathology services to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of human disease.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Produce pathology reports in a timely fashion.
• Consult with other pathologists and serve as a consultant as needed.
• Comply with all terms and provisions of law, and ethical standards relating to the practice of medicine.
• Engage in research projects as requested.
• Investigate and study trends in the developments in pathology practice and technique.

EDUCATION & LICENSURE:

• Medical Degree required.
• Active license to practice medicine in worked-in state required.
• Certification in anatomic or clinical pathology required; subspecialties also required depending upon scope of duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to function both independently and as part of a team.
• Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks in a limited time frame.
