Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage payroll accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely completion of month-end and year-end responsibilities while maintaining compliance with GAAP and financial regulations
  • Develop, document, and improve payroll accounting processes, internal controls, and policies to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
  • Maintain accurate financial records, support year-end audits, and collaborate with external auditors to ensure proper reporting and compliance
  • Lead, train, and develop the payroll accounting team by managing performance, setting goals, and fostering a strong team environment
  • Provide payroll-related financial insights, assist other departments in assessing payroll impacts, and support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent field is required; CPA or MBA preferred
  • CPP or FPC certification or desire to obtain
  • Minimum of 4 years of general accounting experience or a combination of payroll and accounting experience in a large-scale global organization
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management level role with knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting policies and procedures
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with PeopleSoft Financials, Workday, and Blackline preferred
