Description:
Payroll Operations
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees and monthly/quarterly draws for partners, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable laws.
- Manage and track partner draws, distributions, guaranteed payments, tax withholdings, and special allocations as outlined in the partnership agreement.
- Oversee year-end processes including W-2s and Schedule K-1 support for partners.
- Maintain payroll records, reconciliations, and audits in accordance with firm policy and legal requirements.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll and compensation reports for senior leadership and accounting teams.
- Provide detailed financial reports and analysis related to partner compensation, including variances, trends, and forecasting insights.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budget planning and accruals for payroll-related expenses.
- Support external audits and tax filings by providing relevant payroll and compensation data.
Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure payroll compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Liaise with external accountants, tax advisors, and auditors on payroll and compensation matters.
- Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes, systems, and controls for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and labor regulations that impact payroll and partner compensation.
