Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled PCB Designer to contribute to the development of advanced radio communication equipment. This role involves supporting PCB layout design activities for rigid, flexible, and rigid flex printed circuit boards. The designer will utilize state-of-the-art design software to create, modify, and validate PCB designs in a collaborative environment. The role reports to the PCB Design Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize layout software to integrate schematic, mechanical, and manufacturing inputs into new and revised PCB designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional design teams to resolve issues identified through fabrication, assembly, and test checks.
  • Design standard and complex PCB layouts for RF, digital, analog, and power supply technologies.
  • Create and update design files, including schematic, BOMs, and drawings, while maintaining proper documentation.
  • Develop PCB stackups and control impedance modeling.
  • Perform peer reviews of complex PCB layout designs.
  • Maintain and improve PCB layout design guidelines and procedures.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new or upgraded PCB design software.
  • Create and improve checklists and processes related to the PCB layout design process.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of relevant PCB design experience, or Graduate degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 10 years of related PCB design experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of the PCB design value chain, including schematics, materials, fabrication, assembly, and associated software tools.
  • Familiarity with PCB design elements such as schematic, BOM, mechanical, fabrication, and components.
  • Experience working with engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and supply chain.
  • Proficiency with PCB design software such as PADS, Xpedition, Cadence, Valor, etc.
  • Experience conducting peer reviews of PCB layout designs.
