Position Summary

Responsible for all aspects of printed circuit board design including Library maintenance, PCB Layout, Design Verification, and post processing.

This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager I.

According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:

  • Non-Exempt/Exempt, based on the Executive/Administrative/Professional/Computer Employee/Outside Sales Exemption


What You'll Be Doing

  • Creating Schematic Symbols, Component Geometries, and Electronic Components using Mentor Graphics Xpedition and PCB Library Expert software.

  • Altering drawings to meet engineering requirements and initiating engineering change orders.

  • Receiving work direction and technical guidance from your manager and additional technical guidance from Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and other PCB Designers.
  • Designing and redesigning PCBs from schematics and design requirements within the Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Designer, and Design Capture software.

  • Creating drawings, Gerber files, and other documentation for PCB fabrication, assembly, and internal verification.
  • Collaborating with Designers, Mechanical Engineers, and Electrical Engineers to make changes in design and documentation.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Required

  • Associates degree or equivalent in Electronics or similar field


Preferred

  • 2+ years of experience with a PCB design software package (Mentor Graphics Xpedition schematic and PCB Design software Release VX.2.0 and later preferred)
  • Experience in setting up and modifying constraints in the constraint editor system (CES)
  • Familiar with Fablink and Variant manager processes for creating manufacturing documentation
  • Background in PCB design for Class 2 and Class 3 rigid, rigid flex, and flexible circuit designs utilizing double sided, multilayer, and HDI technologies
  • Familiar with IPC specifications and terminology as it relates to printed circuit board manufacturing
  • Experience with a PLM system such as Windchill or Teamcenter
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple groups

Pay Range: $31.60/hr to $49.23/hr

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
