We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Pediatric Neuropsychologist in our growing team in the Division of Behavioral Health at Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE.
The focus of this Pediatric Neuropsychologist position is to provide neuropsychological services within our active outpatient medical specialty clinics and clinical programs. This individual will provide care for children and adolescents who present with a wide range of diagnoses, including traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, brain tumors and other cancers, concussion/mTBI, genetic/metabolic disorders, and various acquired brain disorders. The position includes collaboration with multiple medical specialties and interdisciplinary teams (e.g., Hematology/Oncology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Developmental Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery), including coordination with other Behavioral Health providers. Both consultation and liaison, as well as team participation, are valued service models.
In addition to general outpatient services, the neuropsychologist will also evaluate patients in our acute concussion program. This multidisciplinary clinic includes specialists from Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neuropsychology, Psychology, and Outpatient Therapy services. Within this setting, the neuropsychologist will provide serial assessments to monitor concussion recovery, update treatment plans, and inform return to learn and return to play decisions.
While the neuropsychologist's expectations are primarily clinical, we welcome applicants who may also have a secondary interest in clinical research. There are many opportunities in the hospital to support clinical research, including research mentorship and grant application support. Finally, we have a robust training program, and the neuropsychologist will have opportunities to train neuropsychology fellows, pediatric psychology residents, and neuropsychology externs.

Required qualifications include:
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA or CPA accredited clinical psychology program
- APA or CPA accredited internship training
- Postdoctoral specialty training in Clinical Neuropsychology, in accordance with Houston Conference guidelines
- Licensure or license eligibility in the State of Delaware
- Candidates should be board certified or eligible for board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology with the expectation that subspecialty certification in Pediatric Neuropsychology through ABPP will be completed.
- Preference will be given to applicants with Spanish language proficiency who are able to provide services in Spanish.
