The Departments of Oncology and Pediatrics, Section of Pediatric Oncology are seeking a full-time pediatric oncologist to join a section of seven colleagues.
The successful candidate will provide clinical care and expertise across the full spectrum of pediatric oncology in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Cross coverage and call participation will be expected at nights and on weekends for transplant and cellular therapy patients in addition to oncology. Presence at local and provincial tumor board team based activities including clinical case reviews at tumor boards and other didactic focus areas is an expectation. The successful candidate will join the remaining team to help in bedside and other teaching for fellows, residents, and students. We are active participants in various important clinical trial consortia, actively recruiting and enrolling patients on different open studies. It is expected for the candidate to contribute to such activities.
Qualifications
Qualifications include certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent. Candidates must be eligible for an independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
