We are seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our software development team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technology solutions while providing critical insights through data analysis. The primary focus will be on business analysis for our US Government client capturing and refining customer requirements that can be met using Pega technology.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of their needs and pain points.
  • User Story Creation: Transform business requirements into clear and concise user stories, ensuring they are well-defined, testable, and aligned with business goals. Document stories in Jira or a similar tool.
  • Process Mapping: Analyze and map out existing business processes and propose improvements to optimize business workflows in Pega.
  • Functional Documentation: Create detailed functional specifications and business process documentation to guide the Pega configuration and development efforts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Pega administrators, developers, and QA teams to facilitate effective communication and ensure the successful implementation of business requirements.
  • Perform data analysis to support business decisions, identifying trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Conduct data validation and quality assurance to ensure accurate reporting and data integrity.
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and support user acceptance testing, working with business users to validate that implemented solutions meet their needs

Required Skills

Candidates applying for this role should possess the following qualifications and skills:
  • Business Analysis Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally for Pega based projects.
  • Pega Knowledge: Familiarity with Pega platform and its features, understanding of standard and custom objects, and experience with Pega configuration.
  • Requirements Elicitation: Proven ability to effectively gather and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and other elicitation techniques.
  • User Story Development: Experience in creating well-structured, clear, and detailed user stories that meet the Definition of Ready (DoR) criteria.
  • Process Mapping: Understanding of business process modeling techniques and experience in mapping out business processes.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Preferred Skills

Candidates with the following skills and experience will be given preference:
  • Pega Platform Experience: Previous experience working on projects that utilized the Pega low-code platform.
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile development practices and experience in working within Agile project environments.
  • Data Migration Experience: Exposure to data migration processes and tools for data loading into Pega.
  • Pega Reporting and Analytics: Knowledge of Pega reporting and analytics capabilities to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Process Automation: Understanding of process automation capabilities within Pega, such as Workflow Rules, Process Builder, etc.
  • Pega Certified Business Architect Certification: Version 8.8 or newer preferred.

Must be able to obtain a DoD clearance.
