Position Overview
The Penetration Tester will be responsible for performing comprehensive security assessments on Defense Security Cooperation Agency's (DSCA) information systems and networks. The tester will identify vulnerabilities, assess their potential impact, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the security posture of the agency's IT infrastructure.

Position Overview
The Penetration Tester will be responsible for performing comprehensive security assessments on Defense Security Cooperation Agency's (DSCA) information systems and networks. The tester will identify vulnerabilities, assess their potential impact, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance the security posture of the agency's IT infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities and/or Success Factors
- Conduct penetration tests on DSCA's information systems, applications, and networks to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
- Perform vulnerability assessments using various tools and methodologies.
- Develop detailed reports that document findings, risk levels, and recommended remediation steps.
- Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to implement remediation efforts and verify the effectiveness of security measures.
- Simulate sophisticated cyberattacks to test the robustness of DSCA's defenses.
- Stay current with the latest penetration testing techniques, tools, and methodologies.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on security best practices to various DSCA departments and teams.
- Collaborate with security analysts and incident response teams to analyze security incidents and recommend improvements.
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to federal cybersecurity regulations and standards.
- Develop and maintain penetration testing scripts, tools, and methodologies.
Education and Minimum Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen.
- TS/SCI Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in penetration testing, vulnerability assessment, and ethical hacking.
- Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of penetration testing tools and methodologies, including but not limited to Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, and Wireshark.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and application security.
- Proven experience in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in various environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in all testing activities.
