PSE's Planning team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Performance Analyst - Electric Distribution Planning position!

Job Description

The Performance Analyst position on the Electric System Planning Reliability team focuses on analyzing electric distribution system outage data to support Reliability Planners. This role assists in completing annual reliability reports for the UTC, City of Bellevue, and City of Kenmore, while also helping identify reliability-driven projects for various programs, including the Recloser and Fusesaver programs.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerBI.

This position plays a crucial role in helping PSE meet its electric reliability goals, including Service Quality Indicators (SQIs) 3 and 4. It presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to PSE's mission of better serving our customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Utilize Excel to perform data analysis, including creation and maintenance of pivot tables, advanced filtering, and development of sophisticated formulas
  • Maintain and enhance PowerBI dashboards to be used by Electric System Planning organization
  • Extract and analyze data from SAP systems to support various business needs
  • Process and analyze electric system outage data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support the development and maintenance of reliability reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Analyze performance data for reliability programs, including Fusesaver and recloser installations
  • Support in responding to customer complaints related to power outages
  • Gather data to support industry surveys and benchmarking studies
  • Develop new visualization tools and reports as needed
  • Participate in process improvement activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or technology; or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 2 years' experience utilizing high-involvement process improvement or change management techniques/tools.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated passion for continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment on multiple projects.
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through on assigned responsibilities with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) at all levels with the ability to present information in a professional manner.

The pay range for this position is $74,000.00 - $111,900.00, and this position is eligible for annual goals based incentive bonuses.
