Job Description

As a Perinatal Director and make a meaningful impact on the health and wellness of expectant mothers and newborns. As the leader of our perinatal care team, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional care and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop and implement programs that support maternal and infant health, driving positive outcomes within the Insight Hospital community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all perinatal care services, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team, providing guidance and support to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and programs to enhance perinatal care services.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and patient outcomes, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage fiscal responsibilities, including budgeting and resource allocation, to ensure efficient operations.
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring seamless coordination of care for pregnant mothers and their infants.
  • Stay current with advancements in perinatal care, implementing evidence-based practices and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

Must-Haves:
  • Master's degree in nursing or a related healthcare field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing leadership, including fiscal and human resource management.
  • Active professional nursing license in the state of Illinois.
  • NCC c-EFM certification.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (must be valid within the last year).
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex healthcare challenges.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to inspire, motivate, and lead a diverse team effectively.
