Job title: RF Application Engineer

Job Location: 20 Chapin Road, Suite 1007, Pine Brook, NJ 07058

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or related.

Travel: 2 trips per year to Japan/Korea to visit customers. 2 trips per year to California/Texas to visit customers each trip lasting less than a week.

Job duties: Research, design, develop, and test the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, and systems for scientific use. Investigate complaints to determine the nature and extent of problems. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget. Confer with engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing, potential engineering projects, and products. Investigate, test products. Technical/Application development support on engineering projects to key customers in RF (Radio Frequency) and EV (Electric Vehicle) SiC applications.

Requirements: 3 years of experience with Product Management or related. Requires skills and experience to include:
  • Proficient in conducting Radio Frequency (RF) verification and validation (V&V) testing under various conditions, including WCDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA and LTE technologies.
  • Experienced in both theoretical and practical application of RF instrumentation to solve issues and ensure device reliability.
  • HAC T-Coil Measurements - Experienced in utilizing SPEAG DASY4 automated system in the SAR (Specific absorption rate), measuring with HAC (Hearing aid compatibility) extension and free space probes (ER3DVx and H3DVx) to conduct HAC tests on test devices.
  • Cell phone audio band noise measurements - Conducted studies in the 3GPP lab, measuring specifications for small loudspeakers such as frequency response, resonance frequency, sensitivity, distortion, and impedance. Utilized a variety of lab equipment including Audio Precision Analyzer 2700 , Nexus and Bryston Amplifiers.
  • Extensive experience in RF network design, optimization, and troubleshooting, including configuring and monitoring RF systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Proficient with tools and methodologies for analyzing RF signals, ensuring efficient and reliable communication networks.
  • Proficient in managing and maintaining SmartEdge network systems, including configuring and monitoring Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocols to ensure efficient routing and network stability.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical issues within SmartEdge systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Applied comprehensive knowledge of IP network topology, including switch and router configuration, IP routing protocols (including as OSPF, BGP, RIP, IS-IS, and MPLS), and concepts related to IPv4 and IPv6 addressing.
  • Experience with Juniper or Smart Edge products and solid knowledge of Packet Core Network products, including Ericsson's SGSN/MME, GGSN/CPG, MME, HSS, SAPC, and SASN.
