Job Title: PET/CT Technologist (Dual Certification)
Job Specialty: PET CT
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8 Hour Days
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of PET/PETCT imaging experience required
License: State license required as applicable
Certifications: Must be dual certified as a Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography Technologist: NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT)
Must-Have:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
- CPR certification required
- Valid state driver's license as applicable
Job Description:
Our PET/CT Technologists demonstrate exceptional communication skills to effectively connect with patients, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process. They possess a caring attitude and attention to detail, producing high-quality diagnostic images that enable precise diagnoses and treatments. With flexibility to work across various environments-freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based facilities-our techs deliver outstanding imaging care.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and adhering to radiation safety regulations
- Producing high-quality diagnostic images
- Communicating effectively with customers and radiologists
- Training new technologists or patient coordinators
- Troubleshooting scanners, coaches, and peripheral equipment
