Job Description:

Leads organizational efforts to improve the health status of our population through better care delivered by providers. Acts as a key operational member of the PFK Executive Team, serving as a resource on value-based care to the entire system executive team.

Essential Functions:
  • Develops a strategic vision and tactical plan for Senior Leadership and Board approval that will measurably improve the health of the children in our community.
  • Develops operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) plans in support of the overall strategic vision including the allocation of resources.
  • In partnership with the Vice President Clinical Integration directs the work Clinical Service Lines to drive measurable improvements in clinical outcomes, including addressing subgroups with particular gaps in care.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including risk partners, payors, providers, community partners, and government officials.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to staff to ensure effective program delivery and organizational performance. Manages and develops Medical Directors and direct reports.
  • Represents the organization in public forums and advocates for its mission and goals.
  • Leads PFK work in the statewide learning network involving ODM, MCOs, and all pediatric ACOs to accelerate the rate of improvement.
  • Maintains a national presence in speaking and publications on the subject of pediatric population health to support PFK's reputation as a leader in this area.


Education Requirement:
  • For those with a clinical background, medical degree (MD or DO) or Master of Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Health Administration (MHA), or similar degree preferred.
