Job Description:
The Supply Planner is responsible for the development, communication, and execution of product specific supply plans for all relevant markets. Job will require close collaboration with cross functional teams within the development and manufacturing functions. The Supply Planner will ensure best practices are deployed in Supply and Inventory Management processes.
This position is based in Parsippany, NJ and will report directly to the Sr. Manager, Global Supply Chain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Develop and deploy supply plans based on sales forecast, new product introduction plans and other planning parameters
Work with internal and external manufactures on a routine basis to deliver requested finished goods, and bulk (drug product) according to scheduled timeline and quantity requirements
Participate in the development of the supply planning strategy and implement relevant elements
Optimize inventory position to limit excess and obsolete inventory while ensuring uninterrupted supply
Work cross functionally with Quality, Regulatory and R&D to address supply impacting issues
Participate in new product introduction projects and supply plans are developed, communicated, and executed in support of the project timelines
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge of Supply Chain concepts and best practices including experience in three or more of the following areas: Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Materials Management, Inventory Management and/or Sales & Operations Planning
Strong business process and ERP systems knowledge (preferably SAP)
BS or MS in Supply chain, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related area
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Certifications or continuous learning with APICS, ISM or other accredited professional organizations a plus
A minimum of 5 years' experience in Supply Chain
Familiarity with pharmaceutical GMP environment
Proficiency in Excel is required
