General Responsibilities:
- Fill, confirm, and/or enter new medication orders into the computer system.
- Check and fill narcotics
- Check daily orders
- Unit inspections
- Helps Director with Pharmacy Performance Improvement dats
- Unit dose verifications
- Assist other Pharmacists whenever needed to cover scheduled time off
- Monitor patient drug usage for effects and/or adverse drug reaction
- Monitor and coordinate daily pyxis evaluation
- Interprets physician orders relating to individual's age, diagnosis, allergy, and drug history
- Prepare and check intravenous and oral preparations. Should be familiar with USP 795, 797, 800 regulations
- Other tasks/duties as assigned by the Director
Requirements:
- BS or Pharm D in Pharmacy from an accredited Pharmacy School
- One year current Pharmacy experience in a hospital setting is required
- Three years experience as a Pharmacist preferred
- NJ Pharmacist License required
