Job Summary
As a MedBox Pharmacist at AmeriPharma, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, collaborating effectively within a team, and ensuring the efficient operation of the pharmacy. This position involves handling phone calls from patients and prescribers, supervising a team of pharmacy technicians, and conducting pharmacist verifications. Your role will prioritize patient care while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and fostering a positive work environment. Additionally, as a MedBox Pharmacist, you will assist in drug ordering, organizing workflows, reporting issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Checking Prescription Accuracy - Ensuring the medication name, dosage, frequency, and route of administration are correct.
- Reviewing Patient Information - Cross-checking patient history, allergies, and possible contraindications.
- Assessing Drug Interactions - Identifying potential adverse interactions with other medications the patient is taking.
- Ensuring Compliance with Laws & Regulations - Verifying that the prescription meets all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Clarifying with Prescribers - Contacting doctors if there are any doubts, errors, or missing details in the prescription.
- Counseling Patients - Providing guidance on how to take the medication properly, possible side effects, and storage recommendations when appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to empathize, communicate effectively, and resolve issues professionally
- Strong teamwork and leadership abilities, with experience supervising and motivating a team of pharmacy technicians
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in computer systems, including experience with pharmacy software and electronic health records
- Comprehensive knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple responsibilities while prioritizing patient care and meeting deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
Education and Experience Requirements
- Valid Pharmacist license in CA, with a good standing and compliance with all licensing requirements
