PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services and research.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible and accountable for the development, coordination, and supervision of all pharmaceutical services. Oversees facilities compliance with all Federal and State laws regarding pharmaceuticals. Acts to ensure patient safety and inventory control. Provides reports and maintains pharmacy licenses and permits while holding best practices in areas regarding pharmacy issues.

Local daily travel in personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed) to various facilities required in Pinellas, Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties. Rotational on-call requirements.

SCHEDULE: Full-time 40 hours/week with necessary travel to clinic sites

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in Pharmacy
  • Active Consultant Pharmacist License
  • One-year minimum experience as a consultant pharmacist. Addiction and/or mental health experience preferred.


KNOWLEDGE:
  • Knowledge of State and Federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of cost-effective measures in inventory control
  • Knowledge of best practices in substance abuse and mental health pharmaceutical uses
  • Knowledge of pharmacology to include the initiation, selection and the modification of selected drug regimen
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective positive, productive working relationships with other employees and individuals
  • Ability to respond in a courteous, pleasant manner and provide in-service education
  • Ability to develop quality standards and reports and the ability to function independently


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid Florida driver's license required.
  • Active Consultant Pharmacist License.
  • Must pass a level II background check and drug screen.
