JOB SUMMARY:
The Pharmacy Clinical Program Manager is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy programs across retail locations. Responsible for enhancing patient care, ensuring regulatory compliance by developing and delivering training to pharmacy staff on clinical protocols and best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with member pharmacies for centralized management of seasonal vaccine prebooking and purchasing to ensure product availability, limit returns, and deliver the highest possible margin.
- Meet regularly with GPO (buying group) team, pharmaceutical vendors, supply vendors, operations, and technology vendors.
- Utilize pharmacy system data to measure growth in clinical programs, identify reimbursement or processing issues and trends.
- Create weekly, monthly, and year-over-year reports on clinical program business metrics.
- Actively participate in state and local immunization coalitions, partnering with health department immunization programs and leaders.
- Develop and maintain regular reporting and communication with all collaborative practice agreement providers.
- Provide clinical knowledge and guidance on complex patient cases and program updates to all member pharmacies, owners, and operators.
- Meet regularly with the corporate pharmacy team to set division goals, track progress, identify and resolve issues, and develop future projects.
- Collaborate with marketing specialists to set priorities, schedule campaigns, and review and edit messaging and artwork.
- Ensure all clinical programs meet federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Regularly communicate and collaborate with medical providers that support and oversee collaborative practice agreements and disease state management initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in Utah
- Certification in immunization delivery
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a retail or clinical pharmacy setting
- 2 years' experience in leadership role managing clinical programs
- Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs for pharmacy staff
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy services, medication therapy management, and disease state management
- Exceptional training and presentation skills
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and use of pharmacy management software
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to travel to remote meetings, trade shows and retail locations as needed
- Regular on-site attendance is required
