Job Description

The Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist reports to the Oncology Pharmacy Manager. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to optimize the delivery of care of oncology patients, ensuring relevant safety, regulatory, certification and/or accreditation standards are maintained, and utilize specialized knowledge of anti-cancer therapy, administration, symptom management, and supportive care, while providing education to patients and their families.

Primarily supporting Community Oncology clinic and infusion operations at Nexton, but may be asked to cover other oncology pharmacy clinical specialist areas of responsibility across the system as needed.

PGY2 Oncology residency training preferred.

Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
