Description:
The Pharmacy Manager works as a staff pharmacist and is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all functions related to the Pharmacy Department. This person is responsible for fulfilling all legal requirements, including the evaluation, selection, procurement, and distribution of drugs. The Pharmacy Manager assists the Director of Pharmacy and other members of the Leadership team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desirable patient outcomes through the use of safe, cost-effective drug therapies. The Pharmacy Manager represents the pharmacy department on various committees throughout the Tanner Health System.
Education
Bachelor's Degree
Experience
Five years of related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures.
Licenses & Certifications
*Georgia Pharmacist Licensure
Qualifications
*5 years health system experience preferred, with 3 years in a clinical pharmacy position required
*Ability to interact and work well in a team oriented environment.
*Ability to organize various tasks and schedules in order to maximize time utilization and staff deployment.
*Capability to not only perform, but to excel in a high stress environment.
*Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Georgia.
*Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
*Leadership capabilities are an important feature in this team driven department.
*Needs computer skills in various program requirements.
*Professional as well as pleasant demeanor when dealing with departmental, interdepartmental, and public personnel.
*Thrives in a dynamic work environment making independent decisions and using problem-solving skills.
