Job Overview:
As the Pharmacist in Charge/Pharmacy Manager, you will be responsible for demonstrating the highest standards of patient care-providing medication advice, managing chronic and specialty conditions, and ensuring overall patient safety. In addition, you will facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, enthusiasm, and pride by leading and directing your pharmacy staff to achieve specific goals.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide support and education to patients on their medications.
  • Manage staff pharmacists and technicians, if applicable. Motivate, inspire, and develop the pharmacy team by maximizing colleagues' strengths and addressing knowledge gaps through education and training.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations, including:
    • Patient Safety
    • Pharmacy Professional Practice
    • Regulatory Requirements
    • Quality Assurance
    • Customer Service
    • Personnel Management
    • Inventory Management
    • Financial Profitability
    • Loss Prevention
    • Workflow Management
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations such as HIP nd Waste and Fraud policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local policies and facility regulations.

Requirements
Required Education & Licenses:
  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD in Pharmacy from an accredited university.
  • Required licensing/credentialing/certification as established by the regulations in the region you are practicing.

Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Previous management experience in a retail pharmacy setting (340b knowledge is a bonus, but not required).
  • 3 years of related pharmacy experience.
  • Immunization certification (preferred).
  • Experience with vaccination administration.
  • Ability to plan and implement growth strategies for the pharmacy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional patient service skills.

Physical Requirements:
  • Standing for long periods of time.
  • Fine motor skills - repetitive hand motions via keyboard/phone.
  • Ability to hear, write, and speak effectively.

Skills and Certifications:
  • Experience within a Retail Pharmacy Setting as a Pharmacy Manager (Required)
  • Familiar with Leading Staff (Required)
  • Familiar with Implementing Strategies to Increase Scripts and Customers (Required)
