Job Description
The Pharmacy Supervisor Home Care works closely with the pharmacy manger to implement and maintain policies and procedures for the home infusion pharmacy, warehouse/distribution and customer service functions. This position assures adequate and appropriate resources, including staff and medications/equipment/supplies. With the pharmacy manager is responsible to implement the site procedures for pharmacy compounding/dispensing, including intravenous admixtures, prepackaging, inventory control, delivery functions as well as processes to assure appropriate billing and customer service. Responsible for direct supervision and evaluation of designated Pharmacy Department Staff. Responsible to problem solve and resolve concerns of staff, management, physicians, patients and family members within the scope of their responsibility involving managerial/administrative representatives as warranted. Serves as supervising pharmacist in absence of Manager.
Education And Credentials
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmMD required. Pharmacist licensure required upon hire.
Experience
2 years of experience in home infusion required. 2 years of experience managing staff or functioning in a lead role preferred.
Microsoft Excell 2000-Normal User skills test required. Microsoft Outlook 2003 skills test required. Microsoft Windows 7 skills test required.
