Purpose of Position
To assure effective provision of pharmacy services during work shifts
Description
1. Responsible for the operational aspects of the pharmacy during their shift.
2. Participates in the inventory control and formulary management systems.
3. Assures that the pharmacy systems are in compliance with State and Federal laws and guidelines, Regulatory Agency laws and guidelines, the hospital mission statement and the hospital's policies and procedures.
4. Participates in the interviewing, hiring and associated activities
5. Participates the clinical and educational functions of the department for the hospital and the community.
6. Participates in the Quality Assurance and Improvement activities of the department and the hospital.
7. Participates in interviews and the selection, orientation, scheduling and assignment of personnel.
8. Conducts performance evaluations of assigned personnel
9. Recommends necessary staffing, participates in development of department's operating and capital budgets
10.Performs other duties as directed/requested
Qualifications
Graduate of approved (5 or 6) year Pharmacy education program with a Bachelor's of Science or Pharm D degree

Qualifications

- Registered in Massachusetts
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible hospital Pharmacy experience
