Photography Manager

Enjoy working at our South Corporate office located at 1800 Innovation Point, 5th Floor, Fort Mill, SC on Monday through Friday with a flexible work schedule on Friday. This is a salaried position, and the primary office hours are 8:00am-5:00pm.

Starting salary: $90,000. Commensurate with experience.

The Photography Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of a photography department or team. You would coordinate and execute photography projects, ensure the quality and consistency of images produced and manage the workflow and resources of the department. You would also be responsible for staff photographer training and development, developing photography guidelines and standards, and collaborating with other departments or clients to meet their photography needs.

• Plan and oversee the workflow of the photography studio to ensure efficiency and quality
• Lead and execute creative retail photography projects from conception to publication
• Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams to develop photographic content that aligns with brand goals
• Manage and mentor the photography team, fostering a creative and productive work environment
• Ensure the technical quality of photos through expert editing and retouching
• Stay abreast of photographic trends and technologies to keep Shoe Carnival at the forefront of retail visual content

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in photography management, particularly in a retail setting
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creative direction and photographic execution
• Ability to plan and manage studio workflow efficiently
• Exceptional leadership skills and a knack for fostering teamwork
• Firm grasp of photo editing software and digital camera technology
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Creative and innovative thinker with a detail-oriented approach
