Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Specialty: Rehabilitation Therapy - Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience, primarily in an outpatient setting preferred
License: Credentialed by the appropriate State Physical Therapy Board
Certifications: Current instruction verification card in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have: Inpatient experience
Job Description:
- Collaborate with a team to provide physical therapy services under the supervision of a physical therapist.
- Implement selected components of patient or client interventions (treatments).
- Obtain data related to interventions provided and make modifications to progress the patient or client as needed, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Assist in treating individuals of all ages with medical problems or health-related conditions that limit movement and functional activities in daily life.
- Deliver patient care in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments.
- Report directly to the Rehabilitation Manager.
- Communicate effectively with employees, physicians, visitors, administration, and the public.
- Adjust to job situations involving diverse people and projects, requiring independent action and judgment.
- Maintain the capability to operate necessary equipment proficiently.
- Perform technical procedures while maintaining professionalism.
- Exert supervision and management skills as needed.
- Work in a state-of-the-art, newly built rehabilitation gymnasium in a clean, well-lit, climate-controlled environment.
- Be aware of possible exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases.
- Bilingual capabilities are helpful but not required.
