Job Summary/Requirements/Education

The Urogynecology & Pelvic Rehabilitation Physical Therapist will test and evaluate the patients and plans and administers physical therapy treatment through the use of various exercise techniques and therapeutic procedures in accordance with the physician referral. Communicates and collaborates with the Urogynecology & Pelvic Rehabilitation medical director, physician leadership, and nurse practitioner in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating pelvic health services. Collaborates with staff and the marketing team to provide education offerings to the community.

The Physical Therapist must be a graduate of an accredited curriculum in physical therapy and maintain a current Indiana Physical Therapy License. BLS certification required within 6 months of hire.

This position shift would be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:00am-5:00pm.

Essential Functions
  • Obtains patient history and physical exams.
  • Comfortable using electronic medical record for clear, concise, complete and timely documentation of history/physical and patient visits.
  • Establishes and implements a specific goal oriented plan of treatment based on the results of the evaluation. Sets appropriate and timely goals.
  • Educates and effectively communicates with patients and their families regarding, but not restricted to, goals, treatment plan and progress as well as the use of educational programs and personal instruction
  • Maintains appropriate and efficient schedule of patients
  • Promotes physical therapy and Urogynecology & Pelvic Rehabilitation through participation in marketing activities, such as public speaking to various groups
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements (coding, charging, etc.)


Skills/Knowledge/Competencies

Language - ability to read, analyze, interpret professional references, technical protocols or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and other forms of correspondence. Ability to effectively present verbal and/or written information and respond to questions.

Mathematical - ability to apply mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, percentages and proportions to calculate dosage, amounts and volumes.

Reasoning - Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Computer and Systems - enters and retrieves data and uses and analyzes data

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional hospital environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment (phones, computers, photocopiers, fax machines) and healthcare related equipment etc.
