Wake Forest Health Network Family Medicine - Deep River located in Asheboro, N.C. seeks a Family Medicine physician to jointheir well-established and thriving practice of 1 physician and 1 advanced practice professionals This is a team-oriented practice with supportive colleagues and well trained clinical and clerical staff that go the extra mile for their patients. The practice offers a great opportunity for a Family Medicine physician who is desiring a comprehensive outpatient practice including a diverse patient population. Family Medicine - Deep River has been serving families in the Asheboro and surrounding communities since 1957. We see patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors and provide a wide range of medical services including preventative, acute illness and injury care, chronic disease management and a lab. Bilingual Spanish language required.

Our services include:
  • Well baby, child and adult physical examinations
  • Diagnosis and treatment of acute illness
  • Management of chronic conditions
  • Minor office surgery (including repair of lacerations, mole and cyst removal and skin biopsies)
  • Gynecological exams and treatment
  • Treatment of sports injuries and orthopaedic conditions
  • Comprehensive pediatric care
  • Screenings for cardiac, respiratory, vision and hearing
  • Referral to other specialists or to community resources for specialized evaluation or treatment

Job Summary

The physician is a patient-centered, system-oriented teammate who manages the care of all patients within their primary practice/clinical setting. The physician leads an interdisciplinary team to perform assigned clinical duties, while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Atrium Health, supporting our mission, vision and values.

Schedule:
  • Outpatient only.
  • Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
  • Full-time providers work 36 patient-facing hours, 4 administrative hours.
  • Telephone only call, rotating.

Education/Experience:
  • M.D./D.O. from an accredited medical school.
  • Successful completion of residency and at an accredited healthcare institution.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration:
  • Current M.D. or D.O. license from the State of North Carolina.
  • Board certification in primary care or related field from said residency.
  • Certification in BCLS, ACLS required if stress tests performed or as required by specialty.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registration, for prescription writing required.

  • Typical clinical setting.
