Summary
This position will serve as the "Gatekeeper" for the CTICU. They will manage inflow and outflow of cardiovascular and thoracic patients requiring acute care in collaboration with the Patient Placement Manager and the critical care physician. The Physician Assistant - CTICU will also provide continuity of care for patients admitted or consulted by the heart failure service and provide initial evaluation and institute care delivery for patients admitted to the heart failure service
Minimum Qualifications
1. Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program
2. Currently licensed as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania.
3. Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
4. Prescriptive authority privileges.
5. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
6. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree.
2. Previous experience as a physician assistant, working in a surgical practice that specializes in cardiac surgery and/or providing critical care services in an inpatient setting.
