As a Physician Assistant in our Medicine Department, you will have the opportunity to manage all aspects of patient care including :
- Taking initial patient histories and performing physical examinations.
- Evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and managing treatment plans
- Ordering and interpreting lab tests
- Counseling patients
- Performing various medical procedures a
- Conferring with attending physicians, residents, and other care providers to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Graduate of an accredited (Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Assistant Programs (ARC-PA) program, required.
- Licensed Physician Assistant by the New York State Department of Education is required.
- Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), is required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, required
- MUST HAVE FLEXIBLE schedule to cover days, nights, and weekends - on a rotating basis.
