Physician Assistant, Plastic Surgery (40 hrs)

Job Posting Description

This Plastic Surgery Physician Assistant will be responsible for:

• Providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages and with all types of conditions
• Eliciting histories, performing examinations, and performing/interpreting diagnostic studies
• Performing therapeutic procedures, instruct and counsel patients about their diagnosis
• Facilitating the appropriate referral of patients, consistent with his or her supervising physician's scope of expertise and responsibility and delegated to him/her by the supervising physician
• Performing and/or assist with intravenous sedations in the office based setting
• Providing all aspects of pre-operative and post-operative care, as well as first or second assisting during surgery
• Working 40 hours per week: Monday through Friday, primarily in the Boston and Waltham locations with the possibility of travel to other satellite locations.

To qualify, you must have:

• A Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
• A current MA state License as a Physician Assistant
• One year of PA experience in the clinical and operating room settings and well as a strong interest in and understanding of the Plastic and Oral Surgery disciplines, preferred
• Strong analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge
• Strong communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and medicated fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills
