- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians, taking into account individual patient needs and treatment goals.
- Perform a wide range of medical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and minor surgical interventions, under the supervision of a licensed physician.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory tests, imaging studies, and electrocardiograms, to aid in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions.
- Provide patient education and counseling on preventive healthcare measures, treatment options, and medication management.
- Document patient encounters accurately and comprehensively in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate communication among healthcare providers.
- Stay abreast of current medical literature, best practices, and evidence-based guidelines to inform clinical decision-making and enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant, in good standing, with the ability to practice independently within the scope of practice defined by state regulations.
