Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is fulfilling our vision of transforming healthcare by expanding our collaborative primary care team. We have an opportunity for a Family Medicine or Interal Medicine physician at our regional medical center in desirable Kirkland , Washington. 0.80-1.0 FTE (approx. 36 clinical patient contact hours for 1.0 FTE)

Aspects of the Family Medicine physician role:
  • Team based approach . The primary care team is broken into four pods that serve to continuity for patient care. Each pod is comprised of a consistent provider group, supported by an advanced practitioner, and 1:1 medical assistant support. The Advanced Practitioner helps support messages and indirect care, with built in coverage when a provider(s) is out of the office.
  • Integrative primary care model . VMFH has an innovative approach, with imbedded pharmacists and behavioral health specialists within the primary care team, partnering to provide the best care to patients. In primary care, we provide focused, coordinated care for our patients that have resulted in excellent health outcomes.
  • Flexible schedule options . We partner with you to develop a schedule that balances the needs of our patients and providers.
  • Access to ancillary and specialty services : Ready access to specialty and sub-specialty support through interprofessional consults and direct referrals with collegial and responsive results.
  • Teaching opportunities : VMFH is a teaching environment with regular opportunities to precept medical students and residents. A robust and nurturing environment with active structured mentoring for providers new to practice.

Qualifications
  • BE/BC; Family Medicine
  • Ability to obtain a medical professional license in the State of WA.
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for specific practice.
