What You'll Do:
- Deliver high-quality medical care to our patients, aligning with HHC healthcare plans and individual patient compliance.
- Conduct basic gynecologic examinations for adult female patients as part of their physical exams, following HHC healthcare plans.
- Perform comprehensive physical exams for our adult patient population and provide annual health assessments to Center registrants.
- Evaluate and manage health issues, both as the primary care provider and through consultative collaboration.
- Participate in healthcare support services and staff training, including assisting with medical procedures like urine collections and blood pressure determinations.
- Manage acute and chronic health problems while ensuring accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the EMR system.
- Assist in developing structured patient education programs tailored to the specific health needs of HHC patients, working closely with quality assurance initiatives.
- Engage in quality assessment and assurance programs within the center, including active participation in case management discussions.
- Contribute to our on-call coverage, adhering to schedules agreed upon by our providers and adapting to changes directed by the CMO.
- Attend all administration in-service sessions, staying updated on best practices and procedures.
- Be part of case management rounds as scheduled, providing valuable insights and expertise.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, peer review meetings, and chart audits, driving continuous improvement.
- Potentially provide supervision to Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants in alignment with Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and company standards.
- Prioritize safety, environmental care, and infection control methods according to established protocols.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, company policies, OSHA rules, and quality improvement standards.
- Contribute to the success of our healthcare practice by performing various job-related duties within your scope of practice.
Requirements:
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in basic data entry computer skills.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Team Player: An industrious and cooperative nature to foster harmonious working relationships with clinic management, physicians, clinicians, and the public.
- Education:
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy
- Board Certification through American Board Medical Specialties.
- Current state medical license without restrictions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience treating or managing care for a culturally diverse population and prior leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of The Joint Commission regulations
- Bi-lingual in Spanish, Nepali, French, Arabic
