We have been selected as a Large Prime Contractor by the Defense Health Agency to provide Medical Support Services at Medical Treatment Facilities across the Country.
KBR is seeking a Physician in a military healthcare facility to provide high-quality medical care. In this role, you will deliver high-quality medical services to active-duty service members, veterans and their families. Working part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in promoting health, readiness, and wellness within the military community. KBR is seeking a Physician in a military healthcare facility to provide high-quality medical care. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility (MFT)
- Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other health care professionals within the scope of the clinical privileges or responsibilities.
- Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe courses of treatment within the scope of training, experience, and privileges.
- Provide preventive and health maintenance care, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care skills through education and counseling.
- Order diagnostic tests as applicable as well as request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
- Technically proficient in directing and teaching other medical staff, providing educational lectures and participating in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members. Such direction and interaction will adhere to Government and professional clinical standards and accepted clinical protocols.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
- Education: Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.
- Certification: The DoD only recognizes certifications issued by boards that are members of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the AOA Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
- Internship/Residency/Fellowship: Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Experience: As required to meet clinical competency requirements specified in the credentialing instructions.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine.
