Physician's Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Portland, OR
Comprehensive Pain Management practice in Multnomah County, OR desires to hire an additional
Advanced Practice Provider. Our clinic is staffed with a balance of physicians, PA's and ARNP's to
optimize patient care for both medication management and interventional pain procedures. In 2023
we saw approximately 400 new patients, 3,000 follow up visits and performed over 1,000
procedures. We continue to grow steadily and perform procedures in a free-standing ASC 5 blocks
from the clinic.
We seek a well-balanced provider who desires a private practice setting in a comprehensive pain
clinic. Our practice model is a competitive salary, RVU bonus package with an incentive for extra
visits. The goal is to have new providers become a permanent member of our team and community.

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program
Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination certification or Nurse Practitioner exam.
Must be current with continuing medical education requirements.
Occupational Experience/ Personal Attributes
The employee must be competent in the interpretation of a patient's self-report or behavior and this
information must be interpreted with an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and
chronological effects of pain. The treatment of patients should be individualized and should reflect an
understanding of the developmental needs and range of treatment needs for each patient.

Job Duties
- Responsible for diagnosing, developing, and implementing a plan of care for patients
presenting to the clinic. - Performing physical examinations and obtaining, updating, and recording medical histories.
- Completes appropriate documentation of all evaluations, care, and services rendered in the
electronic medical record. - Makes appropriate referrals for consultations.
- Provides counseling and patient education for recommended interventional procedures to
patients and families. - Responds to telephone inquiries of patients in a timely manner.
- Communicates with referring or primary care physicians regarding patient care and
treatment. - Orders and interprets diagnostic test results.
- Prescribes medications and therapies as appropriate.
Salary
- We provide a salary and benefits that are equivalent to or exceed all other local clinics or
health systems. We reassess this annually to remain competitive. Benefits are standardized
but the initial salary package is customized based on your experience and work schedule. - If you are interested in pain management and appropriate procedure selection / performance
this job will provide you with excellent hours, work conditions and job satisfaction. - $120,000 to $150,000/ yr. based on Experience
- Competitive bonus structure in addition to the salary
- Total compensation from $120,000 to $250,000
Requirements

- One to three years' previous experience in a medical office is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with patients, providers, and other clinic staff.
- Possesses knowledge of medical terminology and ability to document appropriately in
electronic medical record. - Knowledge of appropriate medical advice to offer patients and of the legal implications
involved.
