Medical Center seeking Vascular Surgeon to join team - Manage vascular patients from initial consultation through diagnosis and treatment, including both endovascular and open surgical procedures - The role involves collaboration with Surgical Associates and cardiac care, with access to advanced technologies such as the da Vinci Robotic Surgical System for minimally invasive vascular surgeries and complex cases requiring enhanced precision. Additionally, there are plans to build a hybrid room for state-of-the-art procedures. - Outpatient and inpatient role - Designated clinic days and dedicated OR time for vascular procedures - Standard office hours (Mon-Fri / 8am-5pm) - Protected administrative time (4 hours per week) - Call Schedule: Collaborative endovascular and open procedures in coordination with interventional cardiology - Support Staff: The surgeon will work with a dedicated team, including nurses, front office staff, and ultrasound technicians - EMR: Cerner - Ideal practice will include 2 vascular surgeons: One senior and one junior - Patient Population: Primarily adults aged 55 and older, including smokers and individuals with peripheral vascular conditions such as claudication. - Referral Sources: Referrals come from both within Facility and outside, processed through Central Scheduling. - Ultrasound Workflow: 8 out of 10 referrals require an ultrasound before an appointment. - Patient Volume: 60-75 +/- referrals per month. - There are potential cross-referrals between interventional radiology (IR), cardiac care, and vascular procedures, particularly in the Cath lab and vascular lab. - Imaging Equipment: The clinic is equipped with advanced imaging, including a DSA, 256-slice CT scanner, and MRI with 3T and 1.5T options. - The clinic provides in-house wound care with hyperbaric chambers, supporting vascular and wound care integration. - Sign-on Bonus: $35k+ sign-on bonus to assist with the transition. - Competitive Compensation: Guaranteed base salary (typically MGMA median) + WRVU bonuses (550k - 575k +/-) - Comprehensive Benefits: Health, dental, & vision; supplemental insurance options (short/long-term disability, accidental, cancer, life); retirement plans with employer match. - Student Loan Repayment: Eligible for loan repayment assistance through the PSLF program, helping to manage and reduce student debt. - CME Allowances: 5 days off a year / $3k a year - Malpractice Insurance/Tail Coverage provided - Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling and ample paid time off to ensure a healthy work-life balance (24 Days PTO).
