• UT Health Athens is a 127-bed facility, including a 24-hour ED, designated as a Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center; advanced diagnostic technology; 10-bed ICU; maternity unit radiation therapy center; and a stand-alone ED in Gun Barrel City.

Responsibilities

• Verify the accuracy of patient's treatment charts weekly.
• Confirm the accuracy of the dosimetrist's calculations within 72 hours of treatment initiation.
• Conduct monthly calibration tests on all treatment equipment.
• Develop treatment plans for complex cases or when the caseload is high.
• Provide Physics support during radiation stereotactic procedures.
• Collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and other staff to resolve treatment concerns.
• Create treatment devices for specialized cases.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Doctor's degree in Medical Physics or a closely related field.
