Time Commitment: Rotational 60/60 - Contingent upon contract award Q1 2025

Position Summary

The Pilot-In-Command position supports our Flight Operations Department. As a member of the team your primary job location will be at OCONUS operations in TBD AOR reporting to AIRtec Airport Facilities 2W6 located at 44190 Airport Road, Suite B, California, MD 20619 in St. Mary's County, MD. Deployment rotations will consist of 60 days on duty followed by 60 days off duty based on mission readiness and status. Flight operations will be Part 91 and in support of Department of Defense missions to include maritime surveillance, sensor testing, and various airborne data collection. Flights may include extended overwater and/or low-level operations. Current aircraft include: BE55, BE10, BE20, BE20T, BE30, C208B, C337, DC-3T, and FA10.

Essential Functions
  • Operate aircraft in accordance with applicable regulations, service guidance, and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Pilot and navigate the flight of fixed-wing aircraft, usually on scheduled air carrier routes, for the transport of passengers and cargo.
  • Ensure flight operations are performed in a safe and professional manner.
  • Must be able to communicate respectfully to other team members and customers.
  • Must assist as necessary with required reports, briefs, safety management, aircraft upkeep, fueling, and documenting aircraft discrepancies for maintenance review and correction.
  • Must be willing to assist in additional duties as needed to achieve company goals and customer requirements.

Skills Required
  • Working knowledge of applicable FAA rules, regulations, and standards.
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete required reports on a timely basis.
  • Ability to work in a collegial manner with Airtec employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Minimum Qualifications
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Must possess a current US passport.
  • Requires Federal Air Transport certificate and rating for specific aircraft type used.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must possess an FAA Class I Medical (or be eligible).
  • Must possess a Commercial MEL Pilot's license, ATP preferred.
  • Must possess an active security clearance at the Secret level or higher.
  • Pilots must have at least 2000 hours total time, 750 hours multi-engine time, 500 hours turbine time and 100 hours in King Air 100/200/300 series, DC-3T, or other similar turbo-prop type.
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug test.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Flight Instructor - Multi-Engine and Instrument.
  • Prior special mission or flight test experience.
  • Tailwheel experience.

Travel

  • Travel and rotational deployment at locations within and outside of the United States, including austere locations.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in a variety of physical, and possibly austere conditions.
  • Ability to wear respirator or other required safety equipment.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
