POSITION PURPOSE: The PI/QA Research & Data Informaticist supports performance improvement efforts and quality improvement efforts that are designed to support the organization's performance improvement process as well as research projects. The incumbent would be responsible for assisting with analyzing and interpreting trends and patterns and assist in recommending improvement through data driven analysis. In addition, they would serve as a point of contact for all research activities and clinical intervention programs. In this role you will work as part of a team to develop innovative business analytics offerings and communicate information to external and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible to generate visual analytics, dashboards, and ad hoc reports. The person we're looking for must have technical experience using programs to extract, analyze, and manipulate data from a variety of disparate data sources and systems.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: Research, Data Analysis experience of at least two years required. Master of Public Health or Master of Science in Public Health Data required. Knowledge of Analytics, Analytical Programs such as SQL Ability to retrieve and create data layouts.

Licensure / Certification: CPR-BLS required.

Skills / Attributes: Medical Terminology, data mining, Experience with UDS Quality Measures, clinical interventions and public health. Able to navigate EHR systems and analytic programs. Work with corporate staff, physicians, mid-level providers and their care teams as well as external stakeholders in an effective manner. Communicates effectively in spoken and written English.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with data validation.
Assists with developing and creating data layouts, like tables, charts, graphs, and process flow diagrams
Assists with extrapolating data for Joint Conference reports
Manages visual display needed for departmental and leadership KPI's
Notify AVP and/or CMO in 'real time' if care team is not addressing or has not addressed care gaps.
Collaborate on implementation of Quality Improvement Measures for UDS/HEDIS/ACO.
Assist in identifying issues in closing care gaps and facilitate improvement in provider compliance and UDS, ACO and HEDIS reporting.
Prepare and Provide daily reports to demonstrate improvement and progress towards achieving goals.
Create and Submit Gap Closure Audits/reports that show how many gaps were closed for each measure daily, weekly
Assists with UDS report preparation and audit
Desire to work process through to completion
Participate in Performance Improvement Activities.
Participate in appropriate continuing education in service training.
Persists in completeness and accuracy of reported information to provide meaning to the metrics evaluated.
Optimize visual information for actionable metrics
Maintain processes for making sure data is accurate and up to date
Responsible for design and maintenance of Business Intelligence reports and analysis
Assist with entering provider information in report card format for providers, care team, sites, and departments
Identify and partner with organizations to conduct quality and community- driven research
Serves as lead on selected organization wide PI Projects
Provides leadership updates of projects
Ensure research projects and clinical interventions are aligned with organizational priorities and are developed in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders
Negotiate, execute and oversee research MOU's, contracts and data sharing agreements.
Assists with collecting and reporting on survey data
Participates in selected meetings
Demonstrates appropriate understanding of the cultural diversity in the community and patient population.
Assist PI , regional nurse managers and site leads with research proposals and clinical intervention activities
Able to adhere and comply with CHI's culture to ensure that the patient is well cared for
Tracking and reporting by maintaining basic research and clinical intervention information
Adhere to department Policies and Procedures in performing duties and assignments.
Create and provide reports for internal use
Identify and coordinate presentations and publication opportunities
Write and maintain research dissemination policies and procedures
Demonstrates the ability to work with a diverse population.
Reports to work on time and ready to work with minimal absenteeism
Adheres to Confidentiality Policies and Procedures / HIPAA Regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must be able to provide site visits to our centers and report on and assist staff with documentation of quality measures and PI goals.
Site Visits will include various performance improvement activities to include, but not limited to: assisting with patient and employee surveys, performance improvement activities, distributing and explaining results of UDS, HEDIS, ACO measures as well as ways to improve our metrics and other key performance indicators
Site Visits will include sharing productivity and score card data with providers and care team members on site
Ensure site Performance Improvement Boards (Story boards) are updated.
