PKI Engineer
Job Summary:
A PKI Engineer is responsible for implementing and supporting PKI solutions at the
enterprise level. They will create/renew/manage certificates for user and system based
levels. Other responsibilities include managing in-house certificate authorities, providing
and updating documentation on operational procedures and methodologies, and
operating, maintaining and troubleshooting HSM devices. The PKI Engineer will provide
the senior engineering and design support required to build and maintain PKI systems,
consulting on applications to prevent fraud and mitigate risk. They also provide
engineering and integration support, administer, maintain, and deploy various PKI and
multifactor authentication systems
Responsibilities:
Conduct Proactive Monitoring, investigations, and mitigation of security events
Know the environment that you are responsible for and engage with teams to
secure it
Develop and maintain service patterns used for application integration
Manage technical work activities of contingent worker resources to support
enhancements and continuous improvements to services
Manage Incident and Problem Management activities based on Information
Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) guidelines
Create appropriate compliance documentation/processes for cards and software
certificate requests per DoD requirements on NIPR and SIPR in accordance with
customer and contract management
Maintain the hardware necessary to conduct PKI functions as required and not
covered by the customer's Tier 2 service desk
Execute administrative responsibility for configuration management of the
customer's NIPR and SIPR Registration Authorities to support
