The Planning & Zoning/Code Enforcement Coordinator for the City of Fairmont will mainly be responsible for providing long-term planning support, administering zoning and subdivision regulations, carrying out solutions-based code enforcement, and performing other community development tasks as assigned.
Qualifications for this position include an associate degree in business administration, GIS, urban planning, urban studies, or a related field as well as experience in a local government setting.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree in community planning, urban planning, urban studies, or a related field; American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification; two (2) or more years' experience in a local government setting in one (1) or more of the following areas: planning, zoning, and/or code enforcement; and code enforcement training.
