Job Title: Plant Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of manufacturing, assembly, and machinery/equipment and building maintenance. The ideal candidate will ensure production schedules, customer-specific requirements, and company goals are met efficiently and effectively. This role requires a strong leader who can drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, and maintain a positive work environment.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all aspects of manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance to meet production schedules and company goals.
  • Monitor production and operating reports, resolve operational issues, and address material shortages.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications and customer deadlines.
  • Evaluate and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and cost efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence and profitability.
  • Optimize the utilization of materials, machinery, and employees to achieve maximum efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop plant staff, including supervisors, operators, and support teams.
  • Foster collaboration and accountability while ensuring effective communication across departments.
  • Identify training needs and implement development programs to build workforce capabilities.
  • Act as a liaison between production, engineering, sales, and procurement, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Address customer concerns and manage escalations related to production schedules, quality, or delivery timelines.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company protocols.
  • Serve as a member of the Safety Committee, contributing to the development and implementation of workplace safety policies.
  • Maintain proper equipment and building maintenance while upholding departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Review production costs, product quality, and inventory programs to maintain profitability and efficiency.
  • Review cost-control reports, cost estimates, and staffing requirements for projects.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, production, and assembly.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and coordinate work in the shop.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage timelines and oversee direct reports.
  • Familiarity with developing and implementing plans to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to project a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Highly preferred to have a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within an ETO organization.
  • Super positive attitude to address and foster a positive work environment.
Work Environment

The position is primarily office-based but requires the ability to work in the shop. While interacting with the shop, the employee may be exposed to fumes, heat, and airborne particles. The noise level in the shop is moderately loud. The use of safety equipment, including safety glasses and safety toe work shoes, is required.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
