Purpose of Role:
Weir ESCO is seeking an experienced and motivated Plant Manager to oversee our fabrication facility in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will manage daily operations, ensure production efficiency, maintain quality standards, and lead a team of skilled professionals while nourishing a positive safety focused culture. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in manufacturing and operations management, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to oversee site performance, implement safety and environmental systems, manage budgets and capital expenditures, and collaborate cross-functionally to achieve performance targets and deliver results.

The position requires availability to work Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with the addition of approximately one Saturday per month. As branch operating hours extend beyond these times, the Plant Manager may occasionally need to be present during these extended hours to address operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee branch operations, ensuring asset protection, achievement of production and financial goals, performance management through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), continuous improvement initiatives, and effective communication via regular staff meetings.
- Lead SHE Strategy: Implement and oversee Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) strategy, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company requirements. Meet reporting requirements.
- Lead Continuous Improvement Strategy: Develop and implement site CI program and ensure 6S is sustained across site.
- P&L Responsibility: Oversee profit and loss for branch manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with Engineering Lead: Provide technical support and advice on all aspects of operations.
- Facility Capital Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive facility capital plan supported by sound business cases.
- Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with local regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with operating requirements as needed
Qualifications Summary
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Science preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in a heavy industry or fabrication environment is required.
- Must have over five years of experience managing direct reports.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and practices is required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management.
- The ideal candidate will be proficient in the areas of welding, cut tables, and press forming.
- Must be able to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.
