Plant Superintendent

This Plant Superintendent located in Steele, AL is responsible for helping start up maintenance and production plant activities relating to the manufacturing alumnium scrap sorting operations. Thisrole will also help develop and lead a team.

The ideal Plant Superintendentcandidate should help:

• Drive and develop the culture of Safety First
• Establish and implement operational changes, standard practices.
• Directs, leads, and supervises a team.
• Help manage scrap sorting equipment.
• Verifies inventory accuracy of raw materials, finished goods, and production/maintenance supplies.
• Ensures compliance to budget and production priorities, schedules, monitors production out and quality data, and oversees compiling of reports for management reviews.
• Manage employee timecards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain training procedures.
• Maintain the MVP system by keeping track of planned maintenance projects, downtime, and control maintenance spend.

This Plant Superintendent will inspire staff to achieve results in alignment with company and business strategy as well as operational objectives focused on safety, health and environment, quality, productivity, inventory, people development, and employee engagement.

If you are a results driven leader who:

• Has a High School Diploma or Ged (required), a Bachelor degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Operations Management or at least 5-7 years of equivalent experience,
• Has a working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Is proficient in computer usage and microsoft office
• Has proven ability to function with minimal supervison, while also leading others towards project goals
• Is results and detailed oriented
• Has experience working with secondary Aluminum & scrap sorting.
• Has a strong manufacturing maintenance background
• Has a working knowledge of aluminum process
