Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery at Loyola University Health System has an immediate opening for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Plastic Reconstructive surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with expertise in microsurgery with an emphasis on breast, lower extremity, and lymphedema reconstruction. Join a growing faculty and a collaborative working environment. A microsurgical fellowship is preferred. The preferred candidate will be active academically and have the opportunity to pursue clinical research interests.

The Division has a main clinical base at Loyola University Medical Center, with Gottlieb Memorial Hospital and the Hines VA Hospital also attended by the group. Loyola Medicine is a quaternary care system based in the western suburbs of Chicago that includes Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) in Maywood, Gottlieb Memorial Hospital (GMH) in Melrose Park, MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn and convenient outpatient locations offering primary and specialty care services from 1,772 physicians throughout Cook, Will and DuPage counties.

MacNeal is a 374-licensed-bed teaching hospital in Berwyn with advanced medical, surgical and psychiatric services, acute rehabilitation, an inpatient skilled nursing facility and a 68-bed behavioral health program and community clinics.
