Our customer, a distinguished Engineering firm located in Cheektowaga, NY, is looking for a Plumbing Design Engineer for a Full-Time Direct Hire opportunity.
The salary range for this position is $75,000-$90,000/year with some flexibility.
Responsibilities:
Working under the leadership of our senior engineers, this position will be responsible for assistance in all phases of
plumbing & fire protection engineering design and construction administration services including:
Drafting of plumbing & fire protection systems using AutoCAD and REVIT.
Production of construction documents including plans, details, specifications, and equipment schedules.
Pipe sizing and flow calculations
Research of Codes and standards.
Selection of equipment and design of complete plumbing & fire protection systems.
Coordination with other engineering disciplines and architectural trades.
Participation in design discussions and meetings.
Documentation and analysis of existing building systems.
Review of contractor RFI's, equipment submittals and on-site construction inspection visits.
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant plumbing & fire protection design experience in commercial, educational,
healthcare, housing, and municipal projects is preferred.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office Suite.
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering is preferred; we will consider an Associate's Degree in Engineering
Technology or similar field
EIT and LEED accreditation is a plus.
Recent graduates will be considered.
