Jet Avion Corporation is located at HEICO's corporate headquarters in Hollywood, Florida and specializes in the supply of various platforms of aircraft and engine PMAs. Our products and capabilities vary from cabin interiors to highly complex power plant and accessory parts.
The PMA Certification Engineer will be responsible for management and support of all FAA PMA Certification activities for the NPD and COS Engineering teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing preparation, submission, review, prioritization and monitoring progress of the following FAA/ODA activities:

GENERAL & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position will work primarily in an office environment with low noise level, but may have some exposure to the manufacturing or aviation environment which has mid-to-high noise level with exposure.
The PMA Certification Engineer will be responsible for management and support of all FAA PMA Certification activities for the NPD and COS Engineering teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing preparation, submission, review, prioritization and monitoring progress of the following FAA/ODA activities:
- Program Notification Letters (PNL) or PSCP's
- PMA Substantiation packages
- Conformity Inspections
- Minor design changes
- Product Type Eligibility Expansions
- Reuse of FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) Design Data
- Responding to ODA/FAA comments, questions regarding PNL's.
- Advise Project Engineers of developments/changes in ODA Certification guidance and activities.
- Monitoring and facilitating the Minor Change FAA/ODA Approval process coordinating FAA DER's and ODA EUM's.
- Assisting in ODA & FAA audit preparation and responses to findings.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree Mechanical, Aerospace or other Engineering required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience with PMA development processes and FAA Certification Regulations. General technical literacy.
- Some experience with the FAA certification process and aircraft systems in general.
GENERAL & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE OR ABILITIES:
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- Proven interpersonal skills including ability to earn respect of peers, management, and regulators.
- Demonstrated capability in technical writing.
