PMO Business Operations Specialist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

PMO Business Operations Specialist is responsible for overall smooth business operations for the Program Management Office. The candidate will perform duties such as:

• Become proficient at retrieving financial and material status data from Trident's financial system to supply programs with necessary data
• Assist with tracking material status of key purchases; coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure priority items are being accomplished
• Assist with tracking material status of production; coordinate with Operations to ensure priority items are being accomplished
• Assist with PMO administrative data, including required forms, financial tracking data, and corporate required reports
• Ensure Lessons Learned meetings are held and information is captured and shared with appropriate teams
• Track action items and drive to completion
• Assist with smooth Earned Value Management (EVM) operations, including EVM processes, tool configuration, reporting and standard operating procedures. May assist with EVM analysis.
• Ensure Trident processes are effective; work with appropriate teams to update processes and forms as necessary
• Assist the Director of Space Electronic Systems in resolving issues that go across programs, coordinating with appropriate teams and tracking actions to closure
• Perform special projects, as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in business or related program management field.
• Years of Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in program management operations
• PMP or similar certification desired
• Solid financial management and planning skills
• Understanding of material purchase life-cycle desired
• Strong MS Office skills, specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point:
• Must possess strong oral and written communication skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, status reports, risk assessment, and interface with staff
• Strong organizational, analysis, time management skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to multi-task high priorities while dealing with some ambiguity.
• Earned Value Management training/experience a plus
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Ability to work onsite on a hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
